Renters should buy insurance to protect their property but because you are only covering your personal property it is MUCH cheaper. The average yearly premium for renters insurance in 2017 for $180 where as homeowners average was $1,211!

Not everyone wants to live in close proximity to their neighbors, but many of us enjoy the ready-made community offered by apartment living. Having other families nearby can make it easier for both kids and adults to find friends.
And if you don’t like your neighbors, renting also makes it easier to pack up and move to a community you like more.
8) Extra Amenities
If you move into a complex, chances are you might get access to swimming pool, fitness centers, club house or other parks and recreational facilities. Best part of these – you don’t have the maintenance on them if you had them in your own backyard.
